Small Business Smart Business: $200 Training Vouchers
Every business can benefit from training. You'll find that the more you train yourself and your staff, the more benefits you will see—your business will grow stronger and your profitability will increase. Most business owners value training but often find it difficult to find the money for training.
Small Business Smart Business is a joint initiative of the Department of Education and Training and the Small Business Development Corporation and is available exclusively through the SBC network. Subject to annual allocation and timing, $200 training vouchers are made available through this program to help eligible small businesses fund any form of training that will improve their business productivity. What can the vouchers be used for?

Remember, training doesn't have to be in a classroom. These vouchers can also be used to attend relevant conferences, seminars, coaching or mentoring programs.

How do I get a voucher?
To be eligible for a voucher, your business must:
- have an ABN
- employ less than 20 people (full- or part-time)
- have the training approved by SBC Warren-Blackwood prior to commencement of training.
These vouchers are only available for a limited time (until we run out of the money we have been allocated!).
How does it work?
Here's what you need to do:
- Decide on the training you'd like to attend.
- Apply for the training voucher online.
- Receive approval and your declaration form.
- Book in to, pay for, and attend the training course.
- Get the training provider's signature to confirm that you have completed and paid for the training.
- Submit the invoice and your training voucher to SBC Warren-Blackwood.
- Receive your reimbursement (up to $200 maximum).
How much can I get?
The maximum you can receive is $200. Reimbursement will NOT be made without an authorised voucher, and will occur after you've completed the training and have paid the costs to the training provider.
- Training costs of $100 or less will be reimbursed in full.
- Training costs greater than $100 will have the first $100 reimbursed, plus 50% of the balance, to a maximum of a further $100.
